Yes we make pottery as well! Some examples of our work (and that of two other local potters) can be seen here:
I started on my soap making journey when we needed some hand made bars to sit on those gorgeous soap dishes we had made.
Well now I leave the pottery making to the Head Potter and just make soap here in Jaundrells Studio. I only make small batches of vegan friendly soap using pure plant butters and oils. I keep my ingredients as natural as possible using only essential oils. Across my varieties I use Lavender, Patchouli, May Chang, Bergamot, Rose Geranium, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood, Sandalwood Amyris and Juniper Berry.
I am a proud member of The New Forest Marque – the sign of true local produce and our soap (and pottery) products are for sale in the New Forest Visitor Centre, Lyndhurst – the heart of the New Forest National Park. My soap includes New Forest Spring Water processed in South Gorley and my own Aloe Vera Barbadensis juice harvested from our plants. My Aloe Vera variety is a real labour of love as harvesting the gel is time consuming and messy but worthwhile as it really seems to help sensitive skins.
I am a member of the Guild of Craft Soap and Toiletry Manufacturers and my products comply with the E.U. cosmetic regulations of 2013 so you can be sure of their safety.
